My Stock Whip Handle Has A Broken Keeper - Can It Be Fixed?
The Keeper on the Stock Whip Handle and the Loop on the Thong together
form the hinge between the Stock Whip Handle and Thong - this area of
the Stock Whip is subject to a fair bit of stress and both parts can
wear.
If the Keeper on the Handle of your Stock Whip is broken or about to break, The Whip Shed can repair it for you.
We will remove the old Keeper, make a new one and attach it to the
Handle with a String Binding or a French Grape Vine Binding - whichever
the Handle originally had.
Please note, that this is only for the Keeper on the Handle of the Whip
- if the Loop on the Thong of the Whip is broken, it is pretty much
impossible to make an effective repair that will last if you intend to
continue using the whip.
It is possible to do a cosmetic repair on the Thong that will enable you to use the whip for Display Purposes Only if the Whip has sentimental value to you.
If you send your broken Handle and Thong to us, The Whip Shed will do a
Keeper Replacement repair and return your
Whip to you.
